Innocent Scrapbook Layout with Gloria Lee

Hello crafty friends!

Happy Friday!!!

Gloria here today and happy to share of my project.

 I made a scrapbooking layout using Word Mix #2 and Leafy branches chipboard die cut from Southern Ridge Trading Company Shop.

I made a 12 x 12" layout with my son's photos.

I choose Word Mix #2 , Leafy branches chipboard die cut and two baby photos , yellow card stock.

Here are a few step outs showing how I got my pieces together before adhere them.

I painted the edges of designer paper pieces with Hero arts inks.

I painted the chipboard cuts with green and dark blue colours.

I adhere the papers, coloured chipboards and photos on the yellow base card stock.

And added 'prayer' die cut and some flowers.

Here’s a closer look at the Leafy branches.

You Make Me Smile Photo Frame with Ruchi

Hello friends!! Ruchi here from Ruchi's Crafeteria and I'm back with my inspirational project.

Today I’ve created a Photo Frame with SRTC chipboards and some quilled flowers. Here it is.. 

 I picked SRTC Scroll Frame Die cut and Leafy Branches chipboards. Applied Prima black gesso on that and gave some white splatters.

I did some quilling and created few flowers and leaves. Glued them on my photo frame and added the chipboard leaf from SRTC Leafy Branches set.

I've used crafty glue for pasting them on the frame chipboard. Just added some sequins and Finnabair glass glitter to decorate it.

That’s it for today!! Hope you like my project. Don’t forget to check SRTC shop for these chipboards and some other awesome designs.

Hi everyone! Welcome back to a Southern Ridge Trading creation using Leafy Branches and Swooping Birds.  To make this card of thanks for a friend.

I painted the chipboard pieces with gesso first and then added another coat of white paint.  For the bird piece I glued it to a piece of white cardstock so you could see the image clearly.

Vintage Bicycles with Deb Antonick

I just fell in love with these new Stamperia Rice papers.

I chose to make 2 canvases so as not to waste any of this gorgeous paper.

To start, I applied a coat of Gesso to chipboard bikes and the 2 wood canvases.

Cut the paper to fit the larger wood canvas keeping to the upper right of the paper so as to utilize the flowers. Apply with Matte Medium.

Use a palette knife and a brick look stencil and apply modelling paste to the smaller Wood Canvas, and the upper right and lower left of the larger canvas over the paper. Let dry.

Emboss the chipboard Bicycles and the branches with the Emerald Creek Allure Burnt Copper Leaves embossing powder.

Paint over the texture with Razzleberry. Let dry.

Drybrush over the pink with Light Buttermilk. Let dry.

Adhere the remaining paper to a piece of Cardstock with Matte Medium. Let dry, then cut to create the upper right and lower left corners.

Adhere the paper with glue.

Shade around the edges on both of the wood canvases with DecoArt Media Fluid Acrylics Burnt Umber.

Stamp a piece of cardstock with the Dream stamp and trim to size. Adhere with Matte Medium. Outline with the Stabilo pencil or permanent marker.

Add brads to the wheels.

Adhere all the chipboard pieces with Pop Up Glue Dots.

Adhere flowers with Glue.

Finish the sides of the wood canvas with Razzleberry.

Spring Dragonfly Frame with Erin Quiding-Sampson

Hello, I’m back to share this pretty Dragonfly décor piece with you. I started off by putting a thin coat of gel medium onto the front and back pieces of the frame. I then added some decorative tissue paper to that. I set them aside and allow to dry.

After the tissue is dried rip away any excess, then use a sanding block or nail file to smooth out the sides.

I added metallic paint in copper, peridot green and white to add some interest to the frame.

I cut apart and coloured the leafy branches and added a thin coat of white acrylic to the dragonfly.

When the dragonfly was dried I painted the wings in a muted purple and blue. I also coloured the body in the peridot green.

I put a coat of Mother of pearl structure gel over everything. I thought this might give the whole piece the iridescent of a dragonfly wing.

Now it's time to assemble. I used gel medium to adhere the whole project together. Glue together the front and back pieces of the frame.

I then added the leafy branches starting from the largest to smallest.

I did the same with the flowers. I opened the flowers toward the bottom and squished together the ones closest to the top. I wanted to make them look “bud” like.

I added pop dots to the back of the dragonfly and gently curved the wings to make it stand off the frame.

Embrace Imperfection Canvas with Cathy Potosky

Happy April Everyone. Cathy here with my first project for Southern Ridge Trading Company and I'm so honoured to be here.

So lets get started! I saw the Queen of Hearts Window and had to have it and had an idea already brewing. But, as it happens, a completely different idea came to be! I love there are two parts to this window and I did use it as separate parts for this one.

On the solid panel I layered a piece of TH Etcetera Paper, inked the edges with Walnut Stain Distress and adhered with collage medium.

For the window pane itself I embossed it in Patina Oxide, one of the new Baked Texture Powders from Emerald Creek.

I found an old book page in my stash, cut it down to size and embossed the piece with Baked Texture Vintage Beeswax, while it was still hot I threw on some Patina Oxide. I adhered this to the window pane piece with Glossy Accents.

While I let my window pieces dry completely, I prepped my 6X6 canvas board. I used another page of TH Etcetera paper cut to 5 3/4 X 5 3/4 and once glued down, I edged the board with Baked Textrue Dirty Sand.

I then moved on to my smaller pieces that I wanted to include. I have a butterfly, leafy branch and a Demask corner.

I embossed the Demask corner with the Patina Oxide as well and my leafy branch was done with patina Oxide for the leaves and Burnt Copper Leaves for the branch part.

Yes I do love embossing...a lot!! But for my butterfly I wanted a bit of shimmer so I just used my fingers and rubbed on some of the Finnabair Waxes in Lucky Emerald, Amethyst Magic and Ages Brass. And this chipboard takes this wax so wonderfully!

And here is the completed canvas! I added the demask corner and leafy branch first, then layered my first panel next and the window pane last. I added a TH word band and a saying from the TH Chit chat booklet.
