Happy Easter Card with Katelyn Grosart

Hey Southern Ridge Trading Company fans, Katelyn here. Easter is approaching quickly and for today's post I'm sharing with you my Happy Easter Card perfect to give this Easter. To create my card, I've used a variety of our Easter themed chipboard pieces. You'll want to read below as I share with you how to recreate my Happy Easter Card at home.


To start, you'll need the Happy Easter Welded Words. Apply two coats of Prima Marketing Art Alchemy Impasto Paint in Dusty Rose. 


Choose one of the butterflies from the Butterfly Mix package. Apply a coat of Emboss It Ink to the butterfly. Sprinkle Pastel Lilac over the entire surface of the butterfly. Tap off the excess powder and emboss with a heat tool.


Choose one egg from the Detailed Easter Eggs package and choose two eggs, one large and one medium from the Filagree Easter Eggs package. Apply Emboss It Ink to the detailed easter egg. Sprinkle Pastel Lilac Embossing Powder over the entire surface of the egg. Tap off the excess powder and emboss with a heat tool. Apply Emboss It Ink to the medium easter egg. Sprinkle Pastel Pink Embossing Powder over the entire surface of the egg. Tap off the excess powder and emboss with a heat tool. Apply Emboss It Ink to the large easter egg. Sprinkle Pastel Mint Embossing Powder over the entire surface of the egg. Tap off the excess powder and emboss with a heat tool. 


Next, you'll need the Rod Iron Frame. Apply two coats of Hickory Smoke Distress Paint to the frame.  


Take the Delicate Lace Cross out of the package. Apply two coats of White Gesso to the cross. 


Choose a variety of roses and flowers in white and pink as desired. You'll need a total of thirteen flowers. 


The last thing you need is two pieces of coordinating patterned paper. From one of the papers, die cut a 5 1/4" stitched square. From the other paper, die cut a 4 3/4" stitched square. Distress the edges of both papers. Ink the edges of both papers using Walnut Stain Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.


Adhere the 4 3/4" stitched square to the 5 1/4" stitched square.


Adhere the rod iron frame to the 5 1/4" square. Adhere the delicate lace cross to the middle of the frame. 


Adhere the three easter eggs as desired in the bottom right hand corner of the frame. 


Adhere the butterfly to the top left side of the cross. Adhere the Happy Easter sentiment to the middle left side of the cardfront.


In the top left corner of the Happy Easter sentiment, adhere two pink roses, one white rose, two white flowers and one pink flower as desired. 


In the bottom right corner of the Happy Easter sentiment, adhere two pink roses, three white rose and two white flowers as desired. 


To finish the card, cut a cardbase out of white cardstock that measures 5 1/4" x 10 1/2", score at 5 1/4". Adhere the cardfront to the cardbase.

Dream Card with Katelyn Grosart

Hey Southern Ridge Trading Company fans, Katelyn here. Today, I'm sharing with you my Dream Card perfect to add to give to that someone in your life who needs an extra special note to brighten their day. To create my card, I've used a variety of our popular frames, foliage and word chipboard pieces. You'll want to read below as I share with you how to recreate my Dream Card at home.


To start, you'll need the Leafy Frame. Apply two coats of Dina Wakley Heavy Body Acrylic Paint - Black to the frame. 


Next you'll need one of the Butterflies from the Butterfly Swirl Combo. Note: My butterfly is slightly different and no longer in stock, so that is why you'll need to choose one from the Butterfly Swirl Combo. Apply two coats of Impasto Paint - Crimson to the butterfly. 


Take out both Abstract Corner from the package. Apply Emboss It Ink to each corner. Sprinkle Molten Dimensions - White Wonder Embossing Powder over the entire surface of each corner. Tap off the excess powder and emboss with a heat tool. 


Next, you'll need the Dream Fun Word. Apply Emboss It Ink to the word. Sprinkle Molten Dimensions - White Wonder Embossing Powder over the entire surface of the word. Tap off the excess powder and emboss with a heat tool. 


From the Pussy Willows, cut four pieces off the branches. Apply two coats of Dina Wakley Heavy Body Acrylic Paint - Evergreen to the pussy willow pieces. 


From the Fern Leaf Foliage package, you'll need two of them. Apply two coats of Dina Wakley Heavy Body Acrylic Paint - Evergreen to the fern pieces. Once the paint has dried, rub Pine Needles Distress Crayon along the top of the ferns.


You'll need six magenta roses, four turquoise roses, one large white rose and five white roses. 


Choose two pieces of patterned paper from Nicole Wright Designs - Media Assemblage package. Die cut a 4" stitched rectangle out of one of the papers. Die cut a 4 1/2" stitched rectangle out of the other patterned paper. Distress the edges of the rectangles. Ink the edges of the rectangles using Black Soot Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.


Adhere the 4" stitched rectangle to the 4 1/2" stitched rectangle. Adhere one of the corners to the bottom right corner of the 4" rectangle. Adhere the other corner to the top left corner of the 4" rectangle.


Adhere the leafy frame overtop of the corners on the 4" rectangle. Adhere two of the pussy willow pieces to the top left corner of the leafy frame. Adhere the other two pussy willow pieces to the bottom right corner of the leafy frame. 


Foam square the butterfly to the middle of the 4" rectangle. Adhere the Dream word to the middle of the butterfly. 


Adhere the two fern pieces to the bottom portion of the Dream word.


In the middle of the ferns, adhere one white rose, two magenta roses and two turquoise roses.


In the bottom right corner of the leafy frame, adhere three white roses, two magenta roses and two turquoise roses. In the top left corner of the leafy frame, adhere three white roses, two magenta roses and two turquoise roses.

To finish the card, cut a cardbase out of white cardstock that measures 5 3/4" x 9", score at 4 1/2". Adhere the cardfront to the cardbase.

Sunkissed By A Mermaid Wall Hanging with Pam Bray


Hi Southern Ridge Trading Company Fans! Pam here today sharing a fun Sun Kissed By A Mermaid Wall Hanger using some of the fabulous Mermaid chipboard pieces. It won't be long and we will be all be able to be kissed by the warm summer sun. 


Begin by covering a round piece of chipboard with pattern paper. Paint Southern Trading Company Foilage Oval Frame with white paint. Dry and trim frame part off of leafy part of chipboard. Adhere to prepared circle. 


Apply embossing ink and Spearmint Rock Candy Embossing Powder to top of prepared Foilage Oval Frame. Repeat with Lemon Drop Rock Candy Embossing Powder.


Paint chipboard pieces from Southern Trading Company Mermaid Mix. Dry.


Apply Rock Candy Embossing Powder to top of prepared Mermaid Mix chipboard pieces. 


Adhere fussy cut images to top prepared circle. Adhere embossed Mermaid chipboard word to top of prepared circle. 


 Adhere fussy cut flowers and turtles to top of prepared circle. 


Add embossed chipboard seahorse. 


Adhere embossed Seaweed and fussy cut pieces to circle. 


Adhere embossed Mermaid chipboard circle along with fussy cut images. 


Cut Southern Trading Company Mini Mina Frame in half. Adhere half to back of prepared circle to complete the Sunkissed By A Mermaid Wall Hanger. 


Adhere the other half to the bottom. Hang and enjoy. Pam

Glow, Shine, Radiate Wall Hanging with Katelyn Grosart

Hey Southern Ridge Trading Company fans, Katelyn here. Today, I'm sharing with you my Glow, Shine, Radiate Wall Hanging perfect to add to any place in your home. To create my wall hanging, I've used a variety of our everyday themed chipboard pieces. You'll want to read below as I share with you how to recreate my Glow, Shine, Radiate Wall Hanging at home.


To start, choose two pieces of patterned paper that coordinate together. From the first patterned paper, die cut a 4 1/4" Fitted Fishtails. From the second piece of patterned paper, die cut a 3 3/4" Fitted Fishtails. Distress the edges of the fishtails. Ink the edges of the fishtails using Black Soot Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.


From the Radiate Word Mix, you'll need the Glow, Shine and Radiate words. Apply a coat of Emboss It Ink to each word. Sprinkle Black Magic Molten Dimensions Embossing Powder over the entire surface of each word. Tap off the excess powder and emboss with a heat tool.


Next, you'll need the Leaf Filagree. Cut one of the filagree in half. Apply two coats of Pine Needles Distress Paint to one of the filagree pieces. Apply two coats of Twisted Citron Distress Paint to the other filagree piece. 


The next piece you'll need is the Oval Arrow Frame. Apply a coat of Emboss It Ink to the frame. Sprinkle White Wonder Molten Dimensions Embossing Powder over the entire surface of the frame. Tap off the excess powder and emboss with a heat tool.


From the Itty Bitty Butterflies, you'll need to take seven out of the package. Apply two coats of Twisted Citron Distress Paint to two of the butterflies. Apply a coat of Art Alchemy Impasto Paint - Wild Iris to two of the butterflies. Apply a coat of Art Alchemy Impasto Paint - Raspberry Pink to three of the butterflies. Ink the edges of the butterflies using Black Soot Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.


Adhere the 3 3/4" Fitted Fishtail to the 4 1/4" Fitted Fishtail.


Adhere the Oval Arrow frame overtop of the 3 3/4" fitted fishtail.


Adhere the two leaf filagree pieces to the bottom left side of the oval arrow frame as desired.


Adhere the Glow, Shine, Radiate words to the middle inside of the oval arrow frame. The Radiate word will sit slightly on the leaf filagree and on the right side of the frame.


Adhere a pink and lime butterfly to the top right corner of the frame as desired. Adhere the other five butterflies on the left hand side of the frame, placing them in amongst the filagree and frame as desired.


To finish the wall hanging, punch two holes at the top. Tie a piece of twine through each hole to create a hanger.
