Loveable Scrapbook Layout with Nancy Nickel

Hello, everyone!
It's Nancy here, with a fun new post for Southern Ridge Trading Company!
Today I'm sharing a simple and sweet Valentine project!

  I always have several 8 X 8 Albums going.
Some are seasonal, like the Winter one I shared last month.
Some are filled with assorted pages that I've been inspired to make.
This is one of those pages.

It was the beautiful Abstract Heart Frames,
from Southern Ridge Trading Company,
that inspired this page.

I started by gathering all my supplies.

I dabbed the heart chipboard frames with embossing ink,
sprinkled them with the embossing enamel, and heat set.
I repeated the process using the pink embossing powder,
on the "Loveable" and the three little hearts.

I laid the smaller heart frame onto an old photo of my daughters.
This was taken back in the day...when they were still "Loveable"! ;o)
Using my blade, I cut the photo to fit the frame.
If you don't like using a blade, just draw around the frame,
and cut out with scissors.

Here's a close-up of the intricate frame, and the sparkly enamel.
The "Loveable" is so shiny and pink!

I adhered the 6" decorative paper to the center of the 8" cardstock base.
I adhered the large frame in place first, and then added the word in place.
Next, I added foam tape to the back of the framed photo,
and adhered it in place.
Finally, I added the three little hearts to the page.

I know that the word and little hearts would have shown up
much more clearly on the first paper I had chosen.
However, I really wanted something more whimsical and pretty.
So that's why I decided to go with this paper!

Love Wall Hanging with Katelyn Grosart

Hey Southern Ridge Trading Company fans, Katelyn here. Valentine's Day is only 17 days away and thought now is the time to start making some decor pieces to add in areas of my home, so today, I'm excited to share with you my Love Wall Hanging. To create my wall hanging, I've used a variety of our popular frames and Love themed chipboard pieces. You'll want to read below as I share with you how to recreate my Love Wall Hanging at home.

To start, you'll need to take the largest heart out of the Plain Heart Mix Package. Ink the edges of the heart using Black Soot Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.

From a piece of Valentine's themed paper, traced the chipboard heart onto the paper. Cut the paper heart out. Ink the edges of the paper heart using Black Soot Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.

From the Love & Hearts set, you'll need the love word and three hearts. Apply two coats of Candied Apple Distress Paint to the Love word and one of the hearts. Apply two coats of Carnation Dina Wakley paint to the other two hearts. Once the paint has dried, rub Black Soot Distress Crayon along the edges of the word and hearts.

Next, you'll need the Shrubbery Heart Frame. Apply two coats of Blush PaperArtsy Fresco Finish Acrylic Paint to the frame.

From the Abstract Circle Frames, you'll need the small circle frame. Apply a coat of VersaMark Ink over the entire surface of the frame. Sprinkle Molten Dimensions - Black Magic Embossing Powder over the entire frame. Tap off the excess powder and emboss with a heat tool.

Pull together a variety of flowers in red, pink, black and white.

Adhere the paper heart to the chipboard heart.

Adhere the shrubbery frame to the middle of the paper heart. Adhere the circle frame to the middle of the shrubbery heart frame.

Adhere the Love word to the middle of the circle frame.

In the bottom right hand side of the frames, adhere fifteen flowers in a variety of colours as well as a red heart and pink heart as desired.

In the bottom left hand side of the frames, adhere fourteen flowers in a variety of colours as well as a pink heart as desired.

In amongst the flowers in both the top left and bottom right sides place black and white pearls as desired. To finish the wall hanging, punch two holes at the top of the heart and tie ribbon through the two holes.

Here are a few closeup photos of the finished wall hanging.

Wooden Treasure Box with Ruchi

Hello friends! Ruchi here from Ruchi's Crafeteria and I'm back with my inspirational project.

Today I've altered a wooden box into a beautiful Treasure Box with perfectly designed SRTC chipboards.

First I've applied Prima Black Gesso all over to the box and set it aside for drying.
When dried, I took a decoupage paper and applied it to my box. Left the lid but if you want you can cover the lid too with paper.

I chose SRTC chipboards- Vintage Scroll Keys, Demask Corners, and Foliage Pieces and heat embossed them using different embossing powders.
Arranged all the elements like SRTC chipboards, Prima flowers, pollens together on the box lid.
Lastly highlighted some parts of the box with metallic paints and sprinkled Finnabair Glass Glitters and Mini Art Stones.
