Happy Easter Card with Katelyn Grosart

Hey Southern Ridge Trading Company fans, Katelyn here. Easter is approaching quickly and for today's post I'm sharing with you my Happy Easter Card perfect to give this Easter. To create my card, I've used a variety of our Easter themed chipboard pieces. You'll want to read below as I share with you how to recreate my Happy Easter Card at home.

To start, you'll need the Happy Easter Welded Words. Apply two coats of Prima Marketing Art Alchemy Impasto Paint in Dusty Rose.

Choose one of the butterflies from the Butterfly Mix package. Apply a coat of Emboss It Ink to the butterfly. Sprinkle Pastel Lilac over the entire surface of the butterfly. Tap off the excess powder and emboss with a heat tool.

Choose one egg from the Detailed Easter Eggs package and choose two eggs, one large and one medium from the Filagree Easter Eggs package. Apply Emboss It Ink to the detailed easter egg. Sprinkle Pastel Lilac Embossing Powder over the entire surface of the egg. Tap off the excess powder and emboss with a heat tool. Apply Emboss It Ink to the medium easter egg. Sprinkle Pastel Pink Embossing Powder over the entire surface of the egg. Tap off the excess powder and emboss with a heat tool. Apply Emboss It Ink to the large easter egg. Sprinkle Pastel Mint Embossing Powder over the entire surface of the egg. Tap off the excess powder and emboss with a heat tool.

Next, you'll need the Rod Iron Frame. Apply two coats of Hickory Smoke Distress Paint to the frame.

Take the Delicate Lace Cross out of the package. Apply two coats of White Gesso to the cross.

Choose a variety of roses and flowers in white and pink as desired. You'll need a total of thirteen flowers.

The last thing you need is two pieces of coordinating patterned paper. From one of the papers, die cut a 5 1/4" stitched square. From the other paper, die cut a 4 3/4" stitched square. Distress the edges of both papers. Ink the edges of both papers using Walnut Stain Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.

Adhere the 4 3/4" stitched square to the 5 1/4" stitched square.

Adhere the rod iron frame to the 5 1/4" square. Adhere the delicate lace cross to the middle of the frame.

Adhere the three easter eggs as desired in the bottom right hand corner of the frame.

Adhere the butterfly to the top left side of the cross. Adhere the Happy Easter sentiment to the middle left side of the cardfront.

In the top left corner of the Happy Easter sentiment, adhere two pink roses, one white rose, two white flowers and one pink flower as desired.

In the bottom right corner of the Happy Easter sentiment, adhere two pink roses, three white rose and two white flowers as desired.

To finish the card, cut a cardbase out of white cardstock that measures 5 1/4" x 10 1/2", score at 5 1/4". Adhere the cardfront to the cardbase.

Here are a few closeup photos of the finished card.
