Giftbox by Dunja | You are so special || and a Goodbye

Hi Everyone, today it's my last post on the Southern Ridge Blog.

Since June 2014, when I published my first post, I showed you some inspirations. I hope you liked them. ....it's a long time and I'll thank Karen for the time!
At the end of the blog posting I will show you one more time my favorites from my time at Design Team Southern Ridge.

But now onto my last inspiration for you :)

I'll show you a giftbox i made for a special friend to give her some little presents and pack them into this box. I've decorated the box with lots of things in mixed media style.

First i brushed the box with lots of gesso to give it a shabbylook. I've used several stamps from Vildastamps and a stencil from Dutch Doobadoo.

In the centre of the box i layered some papers and a doily.

For the decoration i've used some Chipboards (Leafy Branches and Roses) and Flowers and glued them. I added some sentiments that i created with my dymo labeler and stamps from Vildastamps.

As i said, i'll show you my favourite's of my DT Term... Three Layouts and Three Cards that i made with the beautiful Chipboards from Karen.

Thank you very much for stopping by today. Hope we'll meet us again in the www ;)

All the best,

Hugs, Dunja

'Keep Calm and stay in L♥ve' Canvas by Dunja

Hi everyone.

happy new year everyone :) Ok, two weeks are gone, but there are many more in this year. Time to be creative :)

Today I have a mixed media canvas for you. First I primed the canvas with gesso. With the Dutch Doobadoo Mask Art Burlap and texture paste I made the texture on the top and bottom. Then I've used a Chipboard Heart Pattern of Southern Ridge - hearts allover, that i also primed with gesso. Then I glued the Chipboard piece on the canvas board.

I used my Color Burst colors of Ken Oliver Crafts again. This time I used Indigo Blue, Alizarin Crimson and Yellow Ochre. The colors are so bright and the result is truly unique.

After drying, I whipped the edges of the canvas and the Pattern chipboard with Gesso.

The text 'Keep Calm and Stay in Love' I've done with the letter stamps by Ken Oliver Crafts. They can be perfectly combined, single words, put the stamps into one another and stamp them. The black stamping ink is also of Ken Oliver Crafts.

I hope that you like my Canvas. Thanks a lot for stopping by. Enjoy your Saturday!

stay in love ♥

Hello everyone, today, on the 2nd Christmas Day, I'll show you Snowman soup :)

On the stiff tape for the bottle I glued a reindeer Chipboard, which I embossed white in multiple layers.

The Clear cups was embellished with this sweet snowflakes. First, I have embossed them white and then used some Stickles Star Dust.

I have made the text 'Snowman Soup' with my Dymo Labeler and stuck it on the top .

Thinking of you at christmas | Christmas Card

Hey everyone, I'm glad that you drop by again. Today I'll show you a Christmas card.

The stamp I bought a few years ago on the Stempelmekka and used them for the first time now .... I colored the cute guy with the star with my Distress Ink's and Sennelier watercolors. It fits perfectly to the circle of stars Chipboard Piece from Southern Ridge.

First I primed the clipboard in white, then embossed it with white embossing powder, afterwards I've used gold embossing powder and finally Frantage ShabbyWhite.

Have a nice day and enjoy the sun :)

late summer meets christmas - two cards

Hi Southern Ridge Friends, it's me, Dunja i'm here to show you some inspirations today.

It's late summer and you can enjoy the sunshine. The fields will be harvested and before you know it, summer is over and autumn finds its way. A short time after that begins the Advent and Christmas time .... {STOP} No, I do not want to, so not yet, just two little christmas cards, nothing more :)) And here they are!

For the first card I've used two of the beautiful pine cones chipboards of Southern Ridge and the beautiful papers from Teresa Collins. One Chipboard part I embossed with gold.

The second card got a reindeer as the motive, which I have embossed also. For both cards I've used a paper doily and my MFT Dies.

Thanks a lot for stopping by. Have a beautiful Sunday.

Hugs

Time flies like Dandelions.... | Mixed Media Layout

...lose their blossoms'

Hi there SR Friends, i'm glad you stopped by.
This saying crossed my mind when I had both the clock and the Dandelions placed on the layout. If you blow up the dandelion, the small umbrella flying through the air. Same way those little umbrellas flying today on my layout.

For the first time I've scrapped on a sheet of kraft paper. I really like the result, what do you think?

For the background I've used a stencil from Prima Marketing | Finnabair. I've added lot's of Gesso, Medium and three different colors Inka Gold. The effect looks great, speciallsy the shimmer. Did you used Inka Gold any time?

The clock is a Piece of Chipboard (sorry, i can't find it in the store any more - maybe Karen is able to help you) from Southern Ridge, which I first brusehd with gesso. Then I dyed it with a Quick Dry Fluid Chalk by Ingvild Bolme and inked the digits with Inca Gold. The result was not my taste. I decided to apply platinum Stickles to the numbers also.

The Dandelions are a die of KesiArt - there are two different sizes - I have them for ages, but did not use them yet. I have punched it a few times and glued them slightly offset . The edges I've previously wiped slightly gray.

At last, i added some platinum stickles also ;)

I hope you'll like my Layout? :)

Thanks for stopping by. Have a nice Sunday everyone!
We'll enjoy the sun :))

Journal Cover - Holidays

Hey Everyone, Dunja here and i've a new inspiration for you today. I have a pimped DINA4 Scrap Book. It crossed my mind that our holiday pictures should no longer only be in the tray. They deserve it to be in a beautiful photo book. However i will do the inside, scrapping or in mixed media style so precisely I have not committed myself;) but the cover is already finished!

I used chipboard elements of Southern Ridge (PAT-603 + BOR-143), first i painted them with lots of Gesso. The background of the Journal, I also brushed with a lot of gesso, covered scraps from old book pages and design paper and again brushed with Gesso. This really makes a lot of fun and i like the effect a lot. The stamps which I have used are from Vildastamps, they go very well with mixed media works.

The golden Micro Pearls were mixed with acrylic medium and then wiped in the Chipboard elements. They may also scatter in the wet acrylic medium, then they are not as lasting and roll away again ;)

I did a few splatters of paintsprays. The texts I have written on the computer, printed them out, the edges were easily wiped and then they were glued.

The beautiful Enamel elements (dots and hearts) are from Marianne Design. The brads are from Prima Marketing Inc. from the Traveller Collection. The metal shield 'Journey' is also from Prima.

I'm looking forward on filling this album with our holiday pictures and i would like to show you the  finished pages!

Have a beautiful day and thanks for stopping by.

Hugs from Germany, Dunja
