Altered Clipboard with Karla Yungwirth

Hello friends, Karla back today. I’m so excited to be continuing on with the awesome Southern Ridge Trading Company Design Team, and I can’t wait to bring you inspiration using the fun products in the shop each month!! Today, I’m sharing an Altered Steampunk Clipboard using the Steampunk Dragonfly Chipboard (sm), Mini Wood Gears, Multi Gear Stencil and Fibers Stencil from the SRTC Shop.

It was fun to pair the cool steampunk supplies with the metallic embossing powders to create coordinating accents. The stencils add such a neat layer of interest of dimension as well! Those gears turned out so neat! I’ve used them on quite a few projects previously and I still have some left over. I love how versatile they are!

I just love how all the layers of powders melted beautifully on the lovely chipboard dragonfly. It did not warp at all even after heating it numerous times and was easily attached to the embellished clipboard with Matte Medium adhesive. The stencils added so much detail using both Distress Oxide Inks and Embossing Powders.
