Happy Easter Card with Katelyn Grosart

Hey Southern Ridge Trading Company fans, Katelyn here. Easter is only 13 days away and I have been busy making some Easter projects. Today's project is a Easter Card perfect to give to that special someone in your life. You'll want to read below as I share with you how to recreate my Happy Easter Card at home.

To start, cut a Delicate Lace Element into three pieces. You'll need to apply two coats of white gesso to two of the delicate lace element pieces.

Next you'll need the Happy Easter Welded Words piece. Apply two coats of Victorian Velvet Distress Paint to the word.

The last chipboard piece you'll need is the Summer Frame. Apply a coat of Tinned Peas Fresco Finish Chalk Acrylics paint to the frame.

Next you'll need some patterned paper, I used the Mintay Papers collection - 7th Heaven. Cut the light pink patterned paper piece to 4 3/4" x 4 3/4". Place the Chicken Wire Stencil overtop of the patterned paper piece and use a palette knife to spread Transparent Texture Paste through the stencil. Remove stencil. Once the texture paste has dried, tear a bit of the paper down in the top right side of the patterned paper. Tear a bit of the paper up in the bottom left side of the patterned paper. Distress the edges of the paper. Ink the edges of the paper using Gathered Twigs Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.

Cut the blue/floral patterned paper piece to 5 1/4" x 5 1/4". Tear a bit of the paper down in the top left side of the patterned paper. Tear a bit of the paper up in the bottom right side of the patterned paper. Distress the edges of the paper. Ink the edges of the paper using Gathered Twigs Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.

Cut the pink/floral patterned paper piece to 5" x 5". Distress the edges of the paper. Ink the edges of the paper using Gathered Twigs Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.

You'll need four white tulips, two white carnations, four small white roses, five medium dark pink roses and nine small pink roses.

The last element you need is a piece of white lace that measures 5" long.

Adhere the lace to the right hand side of the blue/floral patterned paper. Adhere the blue/floral patterned paper to the pink/floral patterned paper.

Adhere one of the delicate lace elements in behind the top torn side of the pink patterned paper. Adhere the other delicate lace elements in behind the bottom torn side of the pink patterned paper.

Adhere the summer frame to the middle of the pink patterned paper. Adhere the Happy Easter sentiment to the middle of the summer frame.

In the bottom right hand side of the frame and sentiment, adhere one white carnation, two white tulips, two medium dark pink roses, six small pink roses and two small white roses.

In the top left hand side of the summer frame and sentiment, adhere one white carnation, two white tulips, three medium dark pink roses, three small pink roses and two small white roses.

To finish off the card, cut a cardbase that measures 5 1/2" x 11", score at 5 1/2". Adhere the cardfront to the cardbase.
