Hello everyone!
Thanks for joining me today on the blog. I love everything about the season of Christmas! I usually start decorating the 3rd week in November because I love all my vintage country decorations and the soft lights in my house. Last year my twin nephews (2 ½ years old) thought it was so cool that I had 3 Christmas trees in my house!! (1 tall country tree and 2 little decorative trees), and they loved that these little trees were the perfect height for them! I asked Fraser if I could take some pictures of him and I couldn’t believe how cute his poses were! Is he naughty or is he nice?
To start I misted the wood diecut with Black spray. I embossed the word Believe with Black UTEE. To do this I added VersaMark to the word believe. Now it was difficult to only get VersaMark on just the word so I have a little trick to share with you. Apply VersaMark over the word. Sprinkle on the UTEE. Use a dry paint brush to brush off the UTEE from where you don’t want it. Voila! Problem solved.
To do the Mail Station sign I first misted the wood with black spray. I lightly sanded off the edges a bit. Then I took a little bit of cream acrylic paint and gently brushed it over the sign making sure that I didn’t push the paint into the words. I ended up doing 4 light coats of paint until I was happy with the result.
