School days

Morning everyone.
It's my turn up on the blog today and I am so excited to share this double page with you. It's that time of year again. Summer holiday is just a few weeks away and I try and keep up with the boys school albums. Every year I try to do this years school page before we break for summer. Therefore my example for today is a school page.

I prefer creating double page layouts and sometimes I don't have a lot of  photos to use for that theme. I have to be creative with my embellishments to tell the story successfully. I love creating embellishments blocks like the one in the photo below. It creates a feature without disturbing the rhythm of the page or stealing the focus. I incorporate different textures on my pages with the embellishments chipboard, buttons, ribbon, string, brads, and eyelits, to keep the pages interesting

In this layout I have used the following 2 products from Southern Ridge Trading. The words were covered with a Top Boss embossing stamp pad and then gold embossing powder which was melted with a heat gun to get this effect.

Hope you enjoyed the layout. Till next time Happy Scrapping.

  1. I love the pages. The kids will love looking at these both now and when they are grown. I can imagine them sharing the pages with their own children. What a treat that will be.
