Hey Southern Ridge Trading Company fans, Katelyn here. I'm excited to be back on the blog today sharing my Peace on Earth Card perfect to give as a Christmas card this season. To create my card, I've used a variety of our popular Christmas chipboard pieces. You'll want to read below as I share with you how to recreate my Peace on Earth Card at home.
To start, you'll need the Peace on Earth Word. Apply two coats of Candied Apple Distress Paint to the word.
Next, you'll need the Snow Flourish Oval Frame. Apply a coat of Picket Fence Distress Paint to the frame. Once the paint has dried, apply a coat of Emboss It Ink to the frame. Sprinkle Marshmallow Rock Candy Embossing Powder over the entire surface of the frame. Tap off the excess powder and emboss with a heat tool. Once the frame has cooled, apply a coat of Emboss It Ink to the embossed frame. Sprinkle Marshmallow Rock Candy Embossing Powder over the entire surface of the frame. Tap off the excess powder and emboss with a heat tool.
From the Snowflake Wreath - Small Package, you'll need one of the wreaths.
From the Snowflake 714 package, choose two of the snowflakes. Apply a coat of Emboss It Ink to both snowflakes. Sprinkle White Wonder Embossing Powder over the entire surface of the snowflakes. Tap off the excess powder and emboss with a heat tool. Once the snowflakes have cooled, apply a coat of Emboss It Ink to the embossed snowflakes. Sprinkle Fractured Ice Embossing Powder over the entire surface of the snowflakes. Tap off the excess powder and emboss with a heat tool.
Next, you'll need seven Itty Bitty Snowflakes.
From the Christmas in the Country Paper from Prima Marketing Inc., choose two of the patterned papers. Die cut a 4 1/2" Stitched Rectangle out of one of the patterned papers. Die cut a 4" Stitched Rectangle out of the other patterned paper piece. Distress the edges of both pieces. Ink the edges of both pieces using Walnut Stain Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.
From the Christmas in the Country Paper from Prima Marketing Inc., choose one patterned paper and choose one of the cut apart cards. Die cut a 3 1/2" Stitched Oval out of the patterned paper. Die cut a 3" Stitched Oval out of the cut apart card. Distress the edges of both pieces. Ink the edges of both pieces using Walnut Stain Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.
Adhere the 4" rectangle to the 4 1/2" stitched rectangle. Adhere the 3" stitched oval to the 3 1/2" stitched oval. Foam square the 3 1/2" stitched oval to the middle of the 4" stitched rectangle.
Adhere the Snow Flourish Oval Frame to the 3 1/2" Stitched Oval.
Use glue dots to adhere the two snowflakes to the top right corner of the frame. Use glue dots and foam squares to adhere the snowflake wreath to the middle of the 3" Stitched Oval. The wreath will sit partly on the snowflakes and on the snow frame.
Use foam squares to adhere the Peace on Earth word to the middle of the wreath frame.
