“Exhale” Altered Frame with Karen Jiles

Hi there,

It’s Karen sharing an “Exhale” Altered Frame that I created with the Exhale Word Mix and Sideview Butterfly chipboard.  I loved how this project came together. Take a peek at my tutorial below.

Step 1: Apply embossing ink directly to the Fibers stencil and then transfer the reverse pattern to the inked manila tag. Pour white embossing powder onto tag, shake off excess and heat set.

Step 2: Trim manila tag down to size of frame opening and insert. Using a foam tool, apply Pacific Teal Embellishment Mousse to the frame. Heat set to dry.

Step 3: Adhere flowers, jeweled charm and dyed ribbon to the frame using hot glue.

Step 4: Adhere Sideview Butterfly and Breathe & Exhale worded chipboard to the frame using E6000.

Step 5: Using a paintbrush, highlight the flowers and dyed ribbon with gesso. Tap on gesso using paintbrush.

Step 6: Continue embellishing as desired.
