Summer Breeze Journal by Karen Jiles

Hi there,

It’s Karen, sharing a Summer Breeze Journal that I created with the Ocean Mix and Nautical Mix chipboard sets. I really enjoyed creating with both sets and coordinating the sets with my choice of patterned papers.  The chipboard pieces were super easy to alter with embellishment mousse and a perfect option for fun projects like this journal. Take a peek at how the journal came together in the tutorial below.

Step 1: Using scissors, cut chipboard from framed set.

Step 2: Apply Nuvo Embellishment mousse (Soft Truffle, Blue) to chipboard using foam applicator. Heat with heat tool and set aside.

Step 3: Trim patterned papers to layering sizes and sand with sanding bar.

Step 4: Run layers of patterned paper through Xyron machine to apply adhesive. Adhere layers to the journal cover.
