Hello ladies,
Today's layout features my 3 favourite guys using one of my absolutely favourite paper lines ever! It's so easy to play and design when you love the colours you're working with!
For this page I knew I wanted to play with the chipboard frame. So I pulled it out, found a picture that fit in it perfectly and then picked my papers. It honestly came together so quickly, the longest part was waiting for things to dry!
I first painted the chipboard frame with Black Gesso. I wanted to start with a black base. You could also use stain or paint for this. Then I used a favourite technique that I love…mixing gesso and embossing powder. This creates a really cool gritty texture. Simply mix the 2 together until you get a paste and stipple it on with a paint brush. Just be sure to work QUICKLY as the mixture dries rather fast.
Now for the label! I again started with a black base painting on black gesso. I then used a stencil and applied some modelling paste (you could also use texture paste). Once it was dry I sprayed it with black Dylusion spray. To finish it off I sanded the edges lightly. Voila done!
The Charming word was painted with black gesso first. I then added some VersaMark and black UTEE and heat set it.
The honeycomb pattern was simply stained with Black Soot Distress stain.
