Jane Austen Card with Corina Finley

Hello Fellow Crafters!

This card all started three days ago when I cleaned up a spill of coffee I had on my studio counter with paper towel, was distracted by my boys and forgot to throw it in the garbage can.

Today, when I came in to create my DT project with no ideas, I found myself cleaning up! Procrastinating! Then I grabbed the dried up ball of coffee tinted paper towel..............ding, ding, ding!

I gently smoothed out the paper towel, and loved the look and texture. I decided to use it as I would use cardstock in my card. I collected a few Jane Austen Kit images that I purchased from Calico Collage and layered each to the paper towel and brown cardstock. I added stitching detail around the perimeter with my sewing machine.

I applied a thin coat of Antique Bronze Distress Paint to the Delicate Lace Element. Once it was dry, I added multi medium to a few places and sprinkled with Crushed Glass Glitter.

I placed the Delicate Lace Element to the left side of the card front, atop of a scrap of Tea-Dyed Cheesecloth. I glued the Vintage Pocket Watch to the sentiment of Jane Austen's quote and added the Mini Wood Key to the top right.
