Easter Blessings Tag with Katelyn Grosart

Hey there Southern Ridge Trading Company fans, Katelyn here. With Easter only a couple of weeks, I created this pretty Easter Blessings tag which is perfect to add to an Easter Basket or write a note on the back of it for a loved one.  You'll want to read below as I share with you how I embellished the chipboard elements on my Easter Blessings Tag.

To start, I took the Easter Blessings Sentiment out of the Easter Wood Tags. Apply a coat of Spun Sugar Distress Stain to the entire surface of the tag. Once the stain has dried, apply a cost of Spun Sugar Distress Paint over the entire surface of the tag. Before the paint completely dries, put a bit of hand sanitizer onto a piece of paper towel and rub the paint off from everywhere on the tag except the Easter Blessings sentiment. To finish the tag, rub Hickory Smoke Distress Crayon on the surface of the tag.

From the Foliage Pieces chipboard, cut out the foliage piece with the dots on it. Apply two coats of Forest Moss Distress Ink to the foliage.

With the Foliage Pieces chipboard still out, cut out two matching foliage pieces. Apply two coats of Pine Needles Distress Paint to each foliage piece.

The last piece of chipboard that needs to be embellish is the Daisy Frame. Apply two coats of Spun Sugar Distress Paint to the frame.

For assembly of the tag, choose a couple of patterned papers as well as a vintage image. Trace the tag around one of the patterned papers. Cut the tag out. Cut the other patterned paper to 2 7/8" x 5 3/8". Ink the edges of the patterned papers using Hickory Smoke Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.

Die cut the vintage image using the 2 3/4" Dashing Circles die. With the image cut, adhere the circle frame overtop of it. Foam square the frame to the middle of the tag. Adhere two of the leaves as well as the Easter Blessings sentiment to the bottom portion of the frame.

Adhere the other leaf to the top left side of the frame. Adhere a variety of pink, dark pink and cream roses as well as some pink flowers as desired around the left side of the frame.

On the top right hand side of the frame, adhere a variety of  pink, dark pink and cream roses as well as some pink flowers as desired.

To finish your tag, create a bow using light pink ribbon.
