Angel Layout with Charlene Byrd

Hello Bloggers!

I can’t believe that we are on the downside of summer already. Not that I am wishing summer away at all but I do love fall! My sweet little niece in her cute hat and boots just reminds me of what’s to come! But until then I am going to enjoy the sunshine!

The butterfly chipboard pieces were a work in progress! I started by staining them with a pink Distress Stain but they were too pale. So I then added some pink Glimmer Mist and they were too bright! So then I added some Pumice Stone distress ink on the top and that helped dull the brightness. But what finally made me happy was dabbing a bit of white acrylic paint on the top. This is another reason why I love chipboard….you can just keep playing until you are happy with the end result!

To finish off the butterflies I simply added some Liquid Pearl drops here and there.

I wanted to pull a bit of the dark colours out of the papers so I inked the Angel title with Pumice Stone Distress ink and then simply added some Ultra Thick Embossing Powder.
