Bear Friend

Hi everyone! It's Alyce here today and I'm sharing my project using one of my favourite frames... VIN-550. I have this super cute image by Ppinky Dolls called Bear Friend.

Sometimes I just like leaving the frame neutral.. it matches the vintage papers so pretty :)

Hope you've enjoyed my project and thanks for stopping by!

The Kindness You Show....

Happy Tuesday! It's my turn up on the blog and with 5 days left in our "Spring" themed challenge I thought I would share with you a spring themed card. To add your card to the challenge, you can add it Here. We can't wait to see what you do with our Spring challenge.  So here is some inspiration for you to get started.

Supplies Used: Fresco Chalk Paint, Bo Bunny: Madeline, Stampin' Up: Pearls & stamp, and Ink: Vintage Photo Distress Ink.

I used GAR-590 on my card. Here is what the chipboard piece looks like before I added product to it.

On GAR-590 I used Paper Artsy Fresco Chalk Paint in Blush and Tinned Peas and painted it on the chipboard. Once the paint was dry I added the pearls on top of the flower in bunches of three.

To finish the card, I edge distressed all the patterned papers and then inked the edges with Vintage Photo Distress Ink.  I adhered all of the paper together and then adhered them onto the card base. Apply Vintage Photo Distress Ink on "The Kindness You Show" and stamp it onto the cream paper. To finish the card I foam squared GAR-590 to the right hand side of the card.

Thanks for stopping by and don't forget to participate in our Monthly Challenge Here. As always check out our Facebook page for more inspiration.

Until Next Time!

Birhtday Card 150 | 2 x 75

Hi Everyone, i hope you are all doing well?
Here in germany we have a great spring day :)
I'm happy you stopped by, to see todays inspiration
with the Southern Ridge Craft Stuff from my (Dunja) side.

I made a card for the big birthday of my in-laws
Both were 75 years, so together 150.
That was a big party and it needed a special card.

I decorated the inner part with the magnificent Chipboard element.
I've used the BAN-500 Garland

I have drawn the circles and ovals on design paper, cut them out and
pasted them on the surfaces. I embossed the remaining space of the chipboard.

After that i put some selfadhesive Numbers to the Circles and Ovals.

Here are some more Detailpics of the card.

I hope you like my card as much as the recipients :)

Have a fabolous day!

The SPRING is perfect this time.
And remember, you also have the chance
to win an awesome generous prize from Southern Ridge!

School days

Morning everyone.
It's my turn up on the blog today and I am so excited to share this double page with you. It's that time of year again. Summer holiday is just a few weeks away and I try and keep up with the boys school albums. Every year I try to do this years school page before we break for summer. Therefore my example for today is a school page.

I prefer creating double page layouts and sometimes I don't have a lot of  photos to use for that theme. I have to be creative with my embellishments to tell the story successfully. I love creating embellishments blocks like the one in the photo below. It creates a feature without disturbing the rhythm of the page or stealing the focus. I incorporate different textures on my pages with the embellishments chipboard, buttons, ribbon, string, brads, and eyelits, to keep the pages interesting

In this layout I have used the following 2 products from Southern Ridge Trading. The words were covered with a Top Boss embossing stamp pad and then gold embossing powder which was melted with a heat gun to get this effect.

Hope you enjoyed the layout. Till next time Happy Scrapping.

New Release Pieces

MY OH MY did this start out HORRIBLY WRONG!   WHAT?!!  WELLLLLLL I thought I would try some brighter colors but it did NOT WORK OUT!  So...out comes the black!!!  ha ha ha  So there you go.  We don't always succeed right from the get go!  Go ahead and laugh your butt off.  I did.  HA HA HA HA!!

I'm really enjoying these things but I can't wait to go to Finnibair's classes in July.  At least I know I can do the composition part anyway.

I've had this ADORE metal embellishment for years and finally a great reason to use it!!  The bird is a Prima resin piece just perfect atop the SRTC bird cage.

Just a whole lot of trinkets from Prima and some Junkyard Findings, probably more.  hee hee

I used some gorgeous pieces from SRTC and some are new releases.

Up, Up and Away...

Happy Hump Day.
I hope you're having a great week.
My creation today for SRTC is an awesome piece
I just love letting my imagination go wild when creating.
I think, the more challenged I feel, the happier I am with the outcome.
And I love these larger pieces.
I just want them to speak for themselves and they do it so well.

I painted the yellow and red with acrylic paint, then my versamark pen on top;
 lastly, some ranger holographic glitter
Then, I've taken my Y38, 35, 32 and given extra detail.
The basket it twine rope that I've unraveled and then weaved.
I've made sure it was the proper size, then added a strong glue to the back.
After drying, I've cut the ends and applied it to my balloon.
I've taken two images from free backgrounds, removed their background in MS Word.
Finally, taking a piece of cloud paper, I've printed my sentiment and baby balloons on the paper.
Always, be sure to do a test run to assure proper placement.
Don't forget to enter our challenge this month.
The theme is "Spring"

Have a beautiful month and I'll see you soon.

Notebook - Enjoy the little things in Life

Hi Everyone and very welcome!

Today I'll show you another inspiration with the
amazing Chipboard's from Southern Ridge.
You know, we German love them also. :)

From time to time you need some paper to write down
some things, things you have to do, inspirations and so on.
For that reason I created a notebook for myself.

The base is made of kraft paper.

For the decoration I used the gorgeous banner from
The item is called Banner BAN-500

I embossed two of the arrows. Another one I decorated with
neongreen Glitter "cellular rubber" (I hope you know what I mean)
the left arrow I decorated with design paper and added some Stickles.
The TO DO is made with my Dymo Labeler.

Did you see our current Challenge. It's a great
theme and I hope we'll see you there. Please join our
SPRING Theme this time.

You also have the chance to win an awesome generous prize!

I also add some Washitapes and Sequins to the cover, like the
little extras for a girlie-look.... just a little bling-bling :D

I hope you like my inspiration Notebook :)

Have a wonderful crafty time everyone.
See you soon!

Crazy Cat Lady Starter Kit Box Card

Hey peeps! I'm up on the blog today with a birthday card I made for my daughter's upcoming birthday. When I saw Karen's bag of mixed cats, (ANI-598) I just had to have them! I knew exactly what I wanted to make... a Crazy Cat Lady Starter Kit box card! Box cards are so much fun & a great way to display some of these amazing chipboard pieces!

I sprayed, inked and distressed the kitties and added a pretty gem for their noses. Didn't take a whole lot of work for a whole lot of impact! I think it turned out adorable!

Thanks for looking! Hope you're enjoying your long weekend! :) Melissa

SRTC Guest Cora-Lee Poehnell

Last weekend a number of us were at the local Valley Scrapbooking crop and I have to say it really was one of the funnest times I've gone.  Not sure if we all had spring fever but we did nothing but laugh AND actually get some projects done!!  There were 3 of us who had been to a Finnibair class taught (with permission) by Clipper Street Scrapbooking about 3 weeks ago and we were HOOKED!! is a project by Cora-Lee using the "LOVE" kit, birds and the heart garland from Southern Ridge Trading Company.

She used a gorgeous heart template from Noor! Design Uk and then filled up the rest with gorgeous embellishments from Prima and a few more miscellaneous pieces.

Closer picture of those gorgeous resin pieces and SRTC birds.  What a sweet couple!!

Another closer shot of the SRTC heart banner.

And as her finishing sprays she used those gorgeous new Prima Bloom sprays.

Here are most of the pieces used from SRTC:

Isn't this just a gorgeous piece?  I love that she actually made it for herself.  We all tend to create and give away but what an amazing keepsake!

Thanks for sharing Cora-Lee!!

Hi everyone! It's Alyce here and today I'm sharing my card today using the gorgeous frame  FRA-486! For my frame I gesso'd it first really roughly so some of the natural colour would still show through, and then once it was dry I added some Shabby White Frantage embossing powder on top.

I hope you've enjoyed my project today! Thanks for stopping by :)

Sister Layout

Happy Tuesday! It's my turn up on the blog today and since our Spring Challenge is still happening, all the details can be found Here, I decided to create a spring layout featuring a picture of my sister. What is even more exciting is that our May/June releases are gorgeous and so many of them work for our spring challenge, I have used two of the new releases on my layout, so without making you wait any longer here is my layout:

Supplies Used: SRTC - PAT-603 & Small birds coming soon, SRTC - flowers, & Bo Bunny - Madeline.

For PAT-603 I put two layers of Paper Artsy Fresco Paint on it in snowflake. Once it dried I went back over and added a layer of Worn Lipstick Distress Paint. I still wanted a bit more of the white to show through, so once the paint was dry I sanded over the top of it to give it a shabby chic look.

For the birds that are coming soon, I painted two coats over top of them with the Paper Artsy Fresco Chalk Paint in Snowflake to make them blend in with the rest of the page.

Here is the layout completed with all of the different layers added to it:

Thanks for stopping by and make sure that you check out the spring challenge. We would love to see what you create up on our Facebook page.

Until Next Time!
