Today we have one of the talented DT members sharing inspiration and as we go along we will continue to add more from the team.

First up is Nikki and here she is to tell you about her project:

With the approach of Easter, my thoughts went to spring, flowers and bunnies, so I made an Easter card featuring the cross CEL-538 and a bunny from a set of 4 (the white one) CEL-546:

The background is a mixed media technique with acrylic paint. The bunny is painted with white acrylic and a thin layer of pink sugar beads added.  He is my white chocolate bunny :)

For the cross I painted it in paynes grey and added a touch of gold for interest and I interwove some flower stems into the filigree. Tip for painting chipboard - use a dry brush, you don't want to get the chipboard too wet.

A fun project, I like how it all came together to create a cute spring scene :)

So there you have it!!  Our very first project of inspiration for our very first challenge!!  If you have any questions please feel free to ask.  If you share here, don't be shy to share on the FB page as well.  Love to have you drop on by!

  4. I am going to try to create something for this challenge. I need a creative challenge right about now! I will try to cricut cut the chipboard I purchased from SRTC at the Kelowna crop in Feb. I just have to find it (among other things)! Looking forward to creating.
