Mixed Media Card || 100% Love ||

Hello Everyone,

i am back today, to show you my Mixed Media Card.
I am happy, you joined our Blog today.
So i will say Hello to you all around the world from Germany.

As i told you, i'll show you a Mixed Media Project.
I made a romantic card, maybe it'll be a wedding card? ;)

The background is composed of several layers of paper, gesso and
Acrylic medium. I've add small glass beads and Hologramrornamets and
again and again I've brushed it with gesso. Maybe I'll do a step-by-step DIY for you
if you are interested;) Just let me know, please.

Here are some Detailpics for you of my Mixed Media Card:

This great chipboard is part of the Southern Ridge and you will find it here click in the category
"Insects Animals Nature and Garden" I have painted it completely with Distress Crackle Paint
and wiped the edges after drying with the blending tool. The Gold shimmer is a Paint - Gold Glitter, which I used for the first time. I have it covered just tender, otherwise the gold glitter effect is
probably much stronger.

I hope to give you an inspiration for YOUR Mixed Media Project

Much Love

Victoriana in Pink and Black

Happy Saturday to everyone and best wishes for a marvelous weekend!

I had so much fun in making this little 4-drawer chest topped with an easel card using two fabulous products from the Southern Ridge Trading Company shop. I used the beautiful flourish border BOR-345 and hearts from the HRT-080.

You can see that, on the front,  I used the two ends of the BOR-345, painting them with black acrylic paint before placing them as the anchor for the floral treatment.

On the back, I used two of the hearts from HRT-080, painting them with white acrylic paint before topping them with a bit of fancy! The other embellishments are the same as I used on the front of the card and are listed below.

I will attempt to give you as many details as I can but you can tell that I used so many things that I will surely miss part of them. I first made the little 4-drawer chest and you can Google that since there are so many different instructions and options and I can't remember which one I used...except that it ended up 6" square. For the drawer pulls, I dipped the little open roses into ModPodge several times so they would look like ceramic. I then added some black satin bows and MS punched rose leaves. I also painted some little black spools to use as legs for the chest.

I used 3 layers of double-sided DP for the top and rolled back two sheets of the opposite corners for dimension and for places to tuck in a ribbon tag and some little Victorian pretties...like crystal wheat, rosebuds, berries, glass baubles. Rather than use a paper doily I used some pre-gathered lace and black guipure lace in a semi-circle to serve as the base for the flowers/stuff!  haha I used various roses and rosebuds, crystal flowers, stick pins, ceramic heart, chenille heart, organza butterflies. I also used a small lace butterfly in the lower corner topped with tiny pearls. And of course it wouldn't be Victorian without its share of border pearls!!

Here are some more views. If I have missed anything, please just jot me a note and I will try to answer your questions---but this is nothing new for sure!

Thank you so much for visiting us today and we hope you will go over and check out all of the amazing products at Southern Ridge Trading Company. Until the next time, big hugs from Jacque!

Time Flies Layout

Hey Everyone! I'm back with a double page layout featuring some more of the great chipboard pieces from SRTC! These pages feature paper from Marion Smith Design's line called Mad Tea Party. I think the paper matches the embellishments so well! My photo's will be matted in black to pull it all together...

I used Smooch spray to cover the chipboard pieces, then used some 'rub on" time themed words on the banner. The bird (Nat-295) & leaves (Gar-285) can be found here. The banner piece is Ban-284

The flourishes from the set (Gar-284-1) can be found here

The wooden clock & key are also from SRTC.

This cute tea cup is coming soon! Watch the website for the tea themed products in the Household & People section!

I hope you enjoyed looking at my new pages as much I enjoyed creating the layout! As always, it's so much nicer in person! :) Thanks for looking!!

I've used Frantage Embossing Powder Shabby Pink for the Chipboard's.

I used a Blending Tool and the Inkpad Walnut Stain to distress the edges.
Hope that you'll enjoy my inspiration.
You should give it a try, to use embossing powders
on your Southern Ridge Stuff :)

Coffee and Friends Canvas

Hello everyone! Cheri here with another mixed media project using some AWESOME shapes from Southern Ridge Trading Co! This time I have done a small 5x7 canvas and coloured up a FUN image from AI. SRTC is getting more and more cool shapes and its getting hard to pick which to use! So I have used quite a few in this project.

I started out by placing and gluing down a piece of wide lace, and then I used the TH Rays stencil with some molding paste over the lace as well as a couple layers of some crocheted ribbon lace and that pretty flourish on the left from SRTC. After I covered it all in gesso I started spraying it with a couple different spray inks (Prima Bloom spray, Lindy's Stamp Gang). That image is from Art Impressions and I coloured it with copics of course, then I used my new cool Polaroid die I got from Stampin Up and covered the image and the die in glossy accents. LOVE how it all turned out!
This flourish is found HERE, isn't it pretty? I did paint the butterfly and then added some stickles for extra shiny fun. That awesome little cell phone is from SRTC as well!!! Which I covered in glitter and glossy accents too.

So one of my new favorite things are these little scrabble letters!! I'm so in love with them, AND of course I'm pretty stoked about the coffee mugs too! hehe I have of course painted and added crackle to the blue FRIENDS word and glitter on the cool little sunglasses.

i sure hope you liked my project! Make sure you go check out everything on the Southern Ridge Trading Co website as there's lots of good stuff on there for all your paper crafting needs!!

Lovely

Welcome back!!  I'm super excited to share this card made for a wonderful friend who's granddaughter graduated this year.  I couldn't believe how excited she was when she got it.  So very appreciative of it and those people are the ones I love to commission cards for.  Thank you Marg!!!

As you can see I've used "Lovely" from Saturated Canary and popped her up on a bed of gorgeous papers from Maja Design.

The grad cap is chipboard from Southern Ridge Trading Company and I've painted it black, covered it with Tim Holtz crackle then "frantaged" it.  Is that a word?  LOL!!

This tag is also from SRTC #TAG-047.  I covered it with some Maja Design paper, added some frantage, the "congratulations" labeler sentiment and then popped some pearls on it.

Don't you just love resin pieces?  OMG if I could add one to every card that would be perfect!!  I'm getting quite a collection so that just might be possible.  LOL!

HAVE A GREAT WEEK MY CRAFTY FRIENDS!
EULANDA

Seaside Fun!!

A very Happy Monday to everyone and thank you so much for visiting the Southern Ridge Trading Company blog where we will be showing you the way we have used the marvelous chipboard and wood products from the company which you can order HERE. We would also love to see your creation at our Facebook page HERE.

I'm Jacque and I would like to show you my first chipboard creation---a card I made using the lovely lighthouse TRA-329 (which will be on the web site very soon) and the fence from GAR-185. I am new to chipboard so this was just so much fun and exciting and I'm sure you will enjoy using it also. It certainly adds a new dimension to anything you might make!

The base and all double matting is Bazzill and the DP is from the Bildmalarna An Ocean and Strawberries  collection. The image is also from Bildmalarna and was colored with Copics and Promarkers. The lighthouse was painted with acrylics, adding a bit of shading and using gold glitter paint for the windows and a pearl for the top of the cupola. Along the bottom I used a piece of the fence from the GAR-185 set and some Sand FlowerSoft, adding a few sea related buttons. That little fence reminds me of the driftwood fences we see along the Eastern Seaboard. The front was finished with satin ribbon tied into a double flat bow, some hemp twine, and a ship's wheel charm. Finally I added some burlap corners to the image panel and some pearls to the corners.

On the jotting panel on the inside I used the rest of the little fence with more sand and buttons and a little gold metal corner.

I hope you like my little creation and will decide to join in with us on a chipboard adventure! Until the next time, I send big hugs!!

Gone Fishing Layout

With the summer fishing season right around the corner, I couldn't wait to use this cute fishing collection (SPO-339) from Southern Ridge Trading Company! It's going to be perfect to showcase my photos from our families fishing trip this summer... The fishing collection will be on the website shortly!

I used Smooch Spray to cover the chipboard & made the sign post to hang the sign. Linen thread & a brad finished this off perfectly!

Smooch Spray was used to cover the fish & fisherman in two different colours. I used linen thread for the fishing line.

Thanks for looking! Cheers!! :)
